Love the recipe. Not the results?
Maybe it’s a recipe from your favorite cookbook that you successfully made all the time at lower elevation or maybe it is your mom’s or grandmother’s recipes that you want to share with your family. I can help bring it back to your table.
Professional High-Altitude Recipe Conversion
Send me a favorite sea-level baking recipe and I will evaluate it and provide a high-altitude version designed to work in your kitchen.
Every recipe is different
Although high-altitude baking is a matter of increasing flour, moisture and liquid and reducing the leavening agent and sugar, there is no set formula or chart available to tell you the exact amounts. There is a general range available, but all options must be tested. The right adjustments depend on the structure and chemistry of the individual recipe. That's why I approach each recipe individually.
Every recipe is different—and so is the process of successfully adapting it for high-altitude baking.
Conversions start at $250
Recipe conversions are priced individually based on the type and complexity of the recipe. A cookie recipe, for example, may require a different level of evaluation and testing than a cake, pie, pastry or yeast bread.
Email me your recipe at Liz@truckeehighaltitudebakingclub.com and I'll send you a quote.

How it works
1. Submit the recipe you would like converted and tell me your elevation. Since I have never tried your recipe before at sea level, I will need a detailed description of how the recipe used to be. taste: texture, color, specific tastes.
2. I evaluate it, test it, and adjust to work at your elevation.
3. You'll receive your original recipe alongside the recommended high-altitude adjustments, with an explanation of what I changed and why.
Recipe conversion improves the likelihood of success at your elevation but cannot guarantee identical results in every home kitchen due to differences in ingredients, equipment, ovens and technique.
